Airvoli Iyakkam

The Kanchipuram district arivoli iyakkam is a registered institution. The main object of arivoli iyakkam is to provide education to the non starters and school drop outs in the age group of 15 - 45 years. This institution has sucessfully implemented the following non formal education pro-gramme in Kanchipuram district.

1. Total Literacy campaign
         From October 1994 to May 1999
2. Post literacy programme
         From June 2000 to July 2001
3. Continuing Education programme
        From February 2003 to March 2009

The benificiaies covered:

1. Total literacy campaign   - 305062 learners
2. Post literacy programme - 308030 learners
3. Coninuing Education programme - 196886 neo literate

    While implementing continuing education programme we have formed women self help groups for consolidating the learners. On behalf of ARIVOLI IYAKKAM  6040 self help groups have been formed. we have also provided training to the women self help group members in conducting the groups.
